Hayata Offers SmartTag 2500™ Metal Embosser to Marketplace

SmartTag2500Dallas, TX – Hayata has begun selling its own metal embossing machine, the SmartTag 2500™.  The SmartTag 2500 imprints metal plates that are used to identify cables and electrical wiring in shipyards, steel plants, the military, and other manufacturing environments.

The SmartTag 2500 is a reliable and cost-effective alternative to stamping and dies. It is equipped with a unique clamp for plates of most dimensions and materials. Designed to meet most requirements in metal plate marking, the SmartTag 2500 has been proven useful in creating ID tags for cables and hoses, galvanized or heat-treated processes, inventory, asset-control and tracking, serial number identification, VIN plates, and many other applications.

Hayata Receives ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Hayata Relocates Overseas Inventory Operations to Expedite Deliveries

Steve YapDallas, TX – Hayata, Ltd. has relocated its overseas inventory and shipping operations into a new, state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Singapore.  With its larger capacity, Hayata’s new facility allows for an increase of on-the-ground inventory, helping expedite customer deliveries in the Asian-Pacific region.  Tom Crouch, founder and President of Hayata, states, “We are always looking for ways to improve our processes and this new facility is a big step in that direction.  Adding inventory in the region increases our ability to make deliveries in a quicker, more efficient manner for our customers.”

Hayata Receives DNV Type Approval

Dallas, TX – Hayata, Ltd. has received a DNV Type Approval Certificate for its stainless steel cable tie line including rollerball, ladder, and releasable ties in both coated and uncoated versions. Certificate #E-10390 designates compliance with DNV Rules for the application of cables, outdoor and indoor, onboard ships and mobile offshore units.

Hayata Hires Regional Sales Executive for Asia-Pacific Region

Steve YapDallas, TX – Hayata, LTD., manufacturers of high-quality, stainless steel cable ties and banding, has announced the hiring of Steve Yap as Sales Manager Asia in charge of Singapore’s sales operations. In his new role, Mr. Yap will be responsible for leading the overall sales effort in the Asia-Pacific region to include strategic planning, new market development, and the management of existing clients.

Prior to joining Hayata, Mr. Yap was employed by Lenn International Pte Ltd., a major distributor of General Cable in Southeast Asia. As Regional Sales & Operations manager, Mr. Yap oversaw all client support and development initiatives, as well as warehouse operations and logistics.

With considerable sales experience in Singapore and the surrounding areas, Mr. Yap plays a key role in driving Hayata’s continued growth and expansion. “Steve brings a lot of market knowledge and experience to the table.” says Hayata founder and President, Tom Crouch. “He provides our clients and prospects a dynamic point of contact in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Hayata Secures Spy Island Project

GAS PlantJust off Alaska’s North Slope sits Spy Island, home to the offshore production site of Eni Petroleum’s Nikaitchuq Project. Recently, the installation of a new metering module at the site required nearly 12 miles of 15kv rated power cable to be attached to a pipeline running the length of the island. The scope of this project, combined with the environmental rigors of the oil patch, meant this would be no small task. Contracting engineers contacted Hayata to discuss their options and soon a bulk order of Hayata’s stainless steel cable banding was on its way to Spy Island. Durable and corrosion resistant, Hayata’s stainless steel bands successfully secured the cable to the pipe in five foot
intervals over the entire 12 mile length.

Engineers avoid delays with shift to Hayata

GAS Plant Travel 140 km northwest of Dhaharan in Saudi Arabia and you’ll come across Saudi Aramco’s expansive Khursaniyah Oil and Gas Project. Covering 50 sq. km, this 3.6 billion USD production facility is a marvel of modern-day oil & gas technology. Engineers faced many obstacles during the construction of the Khursanivah facility, the most notable being a shortage of materials and equipment. Of particular concern were shipping delays with the critical cable ties that had been specified for the project. Time is money, and as the costly delays added up, it became clear that the current supplier would not be able to deliver. Seeking stainless steel cable ties that met, or exceeded, their current specifications, engineers made a shift to Hayata. With product stock already in the region, Hayata was able to quickly expedite shipments of its 360 degree coated and standard cable ties directly to the gas plant for installation. The combination of speed, availability, and quality made Hayata the logical choice for the Saudi-Aramcos Oil and Gas Project.

Hayata Banding Helps Island Home Withstand Katrina

In the early morning of August 29th, 2005, hurricane Katrina roared onto the shores of tiny Dauphin Island, Alabama. A Category 3 storm, Katrina unleashed damaging triple digit wind gusts along with an unrelenting tidal surge. While the ferocious winds lashed out, wreaking havoc on Dauphin Island, it was the tidal surge which ultimately proved most devastating. On the western tip of the island, small communities, evacuated long before the storm arrived, vanished - completely washed away by the wall of surging water. Of the handful of structures that survived the storm’s wrath, one happened to be owned by Ed Dowey. Ed, a Division Director with Summit Electric Supply, had reinforced his home during its construction with Hayata’s stainless steel banding. The home’s sturdy joints, wrapped in Hayata’s banding, proved a formidable opponent against Katrina’s fury. Resisting the storm’s devastating one-two punch, Ed’s home stood strong, remaining intact as the wind and water subsided. While many factors played into the success of Ed’s home, he’ll be the first to tell you that Hayata’s stainless steel banding played a significant role in this tale of survival.

United States Ambassador Welcomes Hayata to Singapore

Singapore Ambassador Members of Hayata received a pleasant surprise during OSEA when Patricia L. Herbold, U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, stopped by their booth for a visit. Ambassador Herbold was attending the tradeshow to meet American companies doing business in Singapore’s oil and gas industry. Hayata’s founder and President, Tom Crouch, obliged by providing the ambassador a hands-on demonstration of Hayata’s product line of stainless steel cable ties, banding, and installation tools.

Hayata Hires New National Sales Manager

Dallas, TX – Hayata, LTD., manufacturers of high-quality, stainless steel cable ties and banding, has announced the appointment of Bodie Spangler as its new National Sales Manager. In this role, Mr. Spangler will be charged with leading all facets of U.S. business development, including strategic planning, new market segments, and the management of existing clients.

Mr. Spangler brings to Hayata fifteen years of executive sales and marketing experience. Prior to his executive career he served as a Navy Lieutenant aboard the USS BOONE, earning the Navy Achievement Medal and the Surface Warfare Officer designation.
